Benchtop solution

One polarity

The MALDI Biotyper®sirius one IVD System offers a one polarity solution (positive ion mode MALDI-TOF) suitable for all routine workflows in microorganism identification.

Bespoke laser technology

Laser speed and lifetime are delivered by the MALDI Biotyper®sirius one IVD System, which houses the lifetime*smartbeam™ laser with a 200Hz repetition rate. Bruker is unique in developing its own bespoke laser technology that is optimized for ultimate performance in the MALDI Biotyper®product range.

* Lifetime is defined as seven years or 500 million shots, whichever comes first.

Software compatibility

The MALDI Biotyper®sirius one IVD System is compatible with existing MALDI Biotyper®software, including MBT Compass IVD products, libraries and workflows.

Low maintenance

The instrument offers integrated ion source cleaning with simple push button control and no need to release the vacuum. This functionality considerably reduces maintenance downtime, to minimize workflow disruption in the lab.

Faster time-to-result

The high capacity vacuum pump and advanced electronics have greatly improved the target exchange time, compared to the MALDI Biotyper®smart. The faster time-to-result of the MALDI Biotyper®sirius one is directly related to the newsiriuselectronics, allowing faster x/y-stage movements.
